Ms. Cindy started out at 16 years old working in daycare, then pursued her education in child development and early education. After gaining years of experience in daycare and with the Federal Head Start Program, with the help and support of her mother, Ms. Millie, and her treasured family, Little Angels Registered Family Daycare in Mechanicsville, Md. began. Together Ms. Cindy and Mr. Steve relocated to the permanent location now known as Kinder Smart. Always striving for excellence and chasing new dreams, we can't wait to see where the coming years takes us all!

Ms. Lea is a very special part of the Kinder Smart team! Ms. Lea brings excitement to learning and play time every day! Ms. Lea has a special gift and every child truly enjoys learning with her. An American Red Cross Instructor, Early Child Care Credentialed, and Critical Competency Infant Certified, she is educated in the newest child development practices. Ms. Lea enriches our program every day!

Ms. Angie has been with Kinder Smart since our original location in Mechanicsville, Maryland. She is an active member of ECHOES and has her ARC 1st Aid/CPR card and has earned innumerable child development certificates as well as a Critical Competencies Infant Development Completion.

Veydah offers tremendous support to the children as a dedicated, soft-spoken and valuable part of our team. Veydah carries an American Red Cross First Aid & CPR certification as well as the Babysitter Safety Course and Advanced Child Care Training.

Ms. Kathy is a registered family daycare provider in St. Mary’s County DBA Small Blessings, and President of the volunteer organization ECHOES. In her free time, she works diligently to support all Kinder Smart Commons. Her dedication to children and providers in our area show in her commitment to everything she does!

We primarily speak English in our facility; however, we are open to new experiences and lessons in any and all cultures. We welcome diversity!
We strive to be inclusive and provide a family type personal environment. All children will be included in all activities, whenever possible.
All of our toys are designed to be developmentally appropriate for all of our children.
-For our children under two years of age our selection of toys includes, but is not limited to: teethers, music boxes, books, stuffed animals, dolls, trucks, stacking toys, puzzles, etc. by using bins and cubbies. All of our toys are easily reached by everyone: crawlers to walkers! A baby's interest is always peaked by the fact that they can reach everything.
Additionally, we break our play area into centers. If a child has a special ability, supplies and adults can be right on hand to help support and encourage an interest or skill.
